Letters To The Editor

Comments off base

November 4, 2009

To the Journal editor: Recent letters have me wondering about their authors. Time and space constraints only allow limited responses to the most ridiculous comments. Some may see my comments as crazy as the authors I criticize, but clear thinking people will understand. First, Bishop Sample violated nobody’s rights and isn’t interested in forcing anyone to agree. As a citizen for peace and justice myself, I know the absence of war does not equal peace. Efforts to end the evil, which requires defense of the weak and oppressed, would be more effective than opposing the defenders. The aforementioned group would likely object to me representing that view as their own.
